Limited edition fine art prints

These fine art "giclee" prints are produced on 300 gms watercolour paper using archival inks, in outstanding colour and clarity. Each one is signed and editioned by the artist and ready for framing. Editions are limited to 100 of each image. Other sizes available on request. Further information on giclee printing is at the foot of this page.

Non editioned full colour reproduction prints on canvas are also available in any size up to 1500mm square. These larger sizes display incredible detail of brushwork and colour and are finished with a clear fixative ready to mount or frame.

Giclee Limited Edition Prints

Giclee (pronounced "gee-clay") is French for "spurting ink." A fine art giclee is reproduced from the original using the highest quality canvas and or fine art paper and archival inks. Giclee is a recognized fine art product such as a lithographs and etchings.

Fine art giclees are produced under the guidelines and standards established by the International Association of Fine Art Digital Printmakers. Every giclee print is numbered in sequence and hand signed by the artist.

Limited Edition Prints: Artworks are reproduced as limited edition giclee prints. The prints are numbered with the total number of reproductions stated (i.e. 3/20) Each print is signed by the artist Once an edition is sold out (20/20) then no more print reproductions will be made.

Open Edition Prints: Open is not limited and the artist may reproduce as many reproductions as she/ he wishes. Hence an open edition print will not be as valuable as a limited edition.

About giclee prints: Each giclee on canvas is sprayed with a permanent coating which helps to protect it from the sun and is water resistant. Like any framed work of art, you should not display in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Giclee prints are best shipped flat and unstretched. Any professional framer can take the print and stretch it onto a frame so that it can be framed like an original painting.

The word 'giclee' is not totally accepted by artists as the name for this printing process as yet. Some artists use 'pigment print' instead. Others may use 'fine art print' or 'digigraph'
